Springsteen? Well, the name of the story is "The Catholic Imagination of Bruce
Springsteen" and it was written by Andrew M. Greeley -- one of the most respected
thinkers in the country. At the very least it's an interesting correlation between his music, which has no noticeable religious influence, and the church. In fact, Greeley makes an unlikely premise quite believable. I highly recommend reading this article. Sometimes music is not just music. |
